1. What is private data?
According to the law of 8 December 1992, private data refer to “any information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person”. A person is considered identifiable when s/he “can be identified, directly or indirectly, especially with reference to an identification number or to one or more specific elements, peculiar to his or her physical, physiological, psychic, economic, cultural or social identity”.
2. Why are private data processed on the ADS site?
Optimal Aircraft Design (OAD, rue de l'Yser, 31 - 5020 Namur - Belgium, e-mail: db@oad.aero) collects your private data when you visit the site and at the time of the online purchasing procedure.
The data that you transmit to us at the time of the online purchasing procedure are used to process your order and to fulfil your contract. The data concerning the registered profiles are stored to process subsequent orders.
The private data that we ask you for marked by the sign “*” are necessary for processing your order. If you should fail to answer one of these mandatory fields, we will be unable to process your order.
Your data will be used to inform you of our new services if you authorise us to do so. Your data will not be transmitted to third parties, with the exception of payment information, which is transmitted to our intermediary: Blue Paid (e-mail: info@bluepaid.com).
3. Does the site deliver cookies?
A cookie is a small file delivered by a server consulted by a user and recorded on the internaut’s hard disk.
The ADS site delivers session cookies so as to avoid the internaut having to enter his or her customer number every time s/he visits a new page. These cookies are automatically deleted as soon as the session is closed.
4. What are data holders’ rights?
Right of access and right of correction: subject to a written, dated and signed request sent to OAD, 10, rue de la Libération, 5004 Namur, Belgium, any person who gives proof of his or her identity may obtain written communication free of charge of private data concerning him or her and, where appropriate, the correction of any data that might be inaccurate, incomplete or irrelevant.
Right of opposition:
o General right of opposition: subject to a written request sent to OAD, any person, who gives proof of his or her identity, may object to the processing of his or her data for serious and legitimate reasons.
o Right of opposition concerning direct marketing: any person may also, merely on request, object to the use of his or her data for direct marketing purposes, by sending a written and signed request to OAD.

5. What security measures are adopted to protect data?
OAD undertakes to use its best endeavours to protect your private data, more particularly to prevent such data from being deformed, damaged or communicated to unauthorised third parties.
The user, who is an OAD customer, will be assigned an identifier (customer number). It is therefore for the user to preserve the confidentiality of his or her identifier.
